Reselling

Switching from Nifty: what transfers, what does not, and the afternoon it takes

Most of what Nifty holds is your live marketplace listings, and those come into FlipDesk through the closet import in the GradeThread browser extension, linked to their listings and with the marketplace's own photos. Anything else you keep in a spreadsheet imports as items, with each column matched by name on step 2. FlipDesk has no Nifty preset yet, so check that mapping before you import. Plan an afternoon.

Verified September 2026. Export formats change; step 2 of the import shows every column before anything is written.

What transfers

  • Live listings on Poshmark, Mercari, Grailed and Vinted, through the closet import, each linked to its listing with the marketplace's photos
  • Items from a spreadsheet: one FlipDesk inventory item per row, with title, description, brand, size, price, cost and dates matched by column name
  • Listing links: where a row carries a Poshmark, Mercari, Grailed or Vinted listing URL, the item is linked to that listing, so a sale there is matched to it
  • Sold rows with a sold date and price import as sold, so your sell-through and profit keep their history
  • SKU, so a label you already printed still resolves

What does not

  • Photos for items that are not live: a spreadsheet carries links, not files, so those need a re-upload
  • Your Nifty automations: sharing, relisting and offer rules do not move. FlipDesk's own repricing rules and eBay offer settings are set up fresh
  • Marketplace connections: eBay and Shopify reconnect through FlipDesk's own authorization; nothing about your Nifty connection carries over
  • Live listings on Facebook are not claimed by the closet import; list those again from FlipDesk or keep them where they are
  • Your Nifty account itself: nothing here touches it. Bring your listings across first, cancel later, once the import checks out

The afternoon, in order

  1. Install the GradeThread extension and run the closet import for each marketplace you are live on
  2. If you keep items outside the marketplaces in a spreadsheet, export it as CSV
  3. Open FlipDesk, Import, and drop the file in; check every column on step 2, since there is no Nifty preset to map them for you
  4. Import, then spot-check a few items; undo is one click
  5. Reconnect eBay and Shopify, then list your next item from FlipDesk

Not sure you should move at all? Read when to stay with Nifty first.

Questions sellers ask before switching

Do my live listings come across?
Yes, through the closet import, which reads your Poshmark, Mercari, Grailed and Vinted listings from your own logged-in browser and links each to an item. Your marketplace password never leaves your browser.
Is there a Nifty preset for the CSV import?
Not yet. A preset is only added once a real export has been checked, because a guessed one can mislabel your columns. Step 2 of the import shows every column and what it will fill, and you can change any of them before anything is written.
What happens to my Nifty automations?
They stay with Nifty. Nothing about them is in an export. Cancel Nifty only once your listings are in FlipDesk and you have set up the rules you still want.
