Cross-list from Poshmark to Whatnot
A Poshmark listing is read out of Poshmark by the extension, checked once in FlipDesk, then handed to you ready to paste into Whatnot — with the condition grade travelling with the item.
Getting the item out of Poshmark
The extension reads your own Poshmark closet and imports each listing as a FlipDesk item, with its photos, title, description and price.
What Whatnot needs
- Photos: Whatnot takes up to 12. If the item has more, the first 12 go, cover photo first.
- Title: 100 characters (Poshmark allows 80, so a long title is trimmed rather than cut mid-word).
- Condition: Whatnot has its own list (New, Open box, Like new…), so the condition is mapped rather than copied.
- Size: every destination asks for its own size field. FlipDesk keeps the measurements with the item, so the size is filled from what you measured once rather than retyped.
Whatnot has no seller listing API and no verified extension flow yet, so the last step is yours: FlipDesk holds the listing, the photos and the grade, and you paste them into Whatnot.
The grade travels with the item
The listing that moves is not just words and photos. GradeThread grades the garment once on a published 1.0–10.0 scale and mints a certificate the buyer can check, and that grade rides into every channel the item is listed on — Whatnot included. It is the part a crosslisting tool cannot copy across for you, because it has nothing to copy: condition is the seller’s own word everywhere else.
Questions sellers ask
- Does the listing get removed from Poshmark automatically?
- Not unless you ask for it. Cross-listing puts the item on Whatnot while it is still up on Poshmark. When it sells on either one, FlipDesk ends the other listing so the same garment is not sold twice.
- Do my photos come across?
- Yes. The closet import brings Poshmark's own copies of your photos over with the listing, and Whatnot gets them in order, cover first.
